For those of you who haven’t been there (Pasar Senen) yet,
you might be wondering, where on earth is that place? No it’s not located in
the middle of Pasar Minggu and Pasar Selasa. It’s located in Central Jakarta,
near Plaza Atrium and Terminal Senen.
Don’t be gasped if you found that place really crowded. Hey,
it’s a market and you know how the crowd loves Indonesian’s market. But don’t
give up and held your heads high ‘cause all the sweat you get from ‘kepanasan’
at this market will be paid when you finally find some really good clothes with
a really good price.
A few weeks ago I went there again, this time I was looking
for something to read and voila I found this old books and magazine.
Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar and L.J. Smith’s The Vampire Diaries. Guess how much did I pay for those two… 25k rupiahs! The papers inside of them may look so old and brown but it still read-able.
Nylon Indonesia's first issue, Concept 's Fashin Graphics issue, and Livingetc. Each for 10k!
